I am from Pennsylvania. I have 9 grandchildren that range from almost born to 19 years of age. I have a passion for hockey that seems to trickle down amongst the grandchildren, not all but i'm working on it.
What prompted you to go into Healthcare?
My father was my deciding factor. I saw the need for more compassionate people to care for those who were sick and dying. So I decided and became a certified nurse assistant. I went into Sterile Processing years later.
Why did you decide to start Traveling and what was your first assignment like?
I decided to start traveling to see the differences in different hospitals and see different areas of the country. My first assignment was New Jersey.
What is your favorite thing about Traveling?
My favorite thing about traveling is that I get to meet different people and enjoy the activities available in their area. It's nice to make new friends. And it's rewarding to help deal with the challenges that the hospitals you go to have.
What is the hardest part about traveling and how do you overcome it?
The hardest part is getting a new routine at a new residence every 13 weeks or so.
How long have you been traveling? # of assignments? Locations? Traveling goals?
I have been traveling 3 years and completed 8 assignments. I have enjoyed them all. I enjoyed Parasailing along the coast, Hiking In the mountains, Snowtubing in the north and hot air balloon ride over the mountains.
Anything in particular that stands out to you when traveling with Alliance Medical Staffing?
My recruiter Tim is absolutely great to work with. If there's any questions, he answers them promptly. He tells you everything you need ahead of time. He always manages to get you great housing and they always pay on time! What more could you ask for?
